  • September, 2008 - October, 2009: Role of Solutions Implementer for eMeter Corp.

  • March, 2004: Enjoyed beer and good conversation with Mr. Muskrat at a sports bar in the Dallas, Texas area.
  • September, 2003 - October, 2004: On a project in Anchorage, Alaska. The weather and scenery is awesome!
  • I had the wonderful opportunity to meet ybiC and dthacker for beer and pizza in November of 2002.

I am a drummer. I play jazz when given the opportunity, but I rarely turn down an opportunity to play with anyone.
I have been working on Jazz Improvisation lately.

I am a long-standing member of the Internet Chess Club. I have been a tournament manager there since 1998. If you ever find yourself on ICC, "tell Daruma Greetings from the Monastery!"

I am a juggler. Currently trying to keep five balls going longer than a few juggles. I juggle balls, rings, clubs, torches and knives. I am a Founding member of the Columbia (SC) Juggling Club. Occasionally, I get the opportunity to perform for festivals, gatherings and parties. Passing clubs is one of my favorite pastimes.

"A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."
