Copy scalar to Windows 'paste' buffer

andreturpin has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Monks, I'm looking or a snip that will assign a scalar (or maybe even a list of em) to the Windows 'paste' buffer (for lack of proper term) so that the user of my app can take the result and paste it into their other gui apps. I was going to say something dumb like, "Can Perl do it?", but I won't. --AT
