I'm a Linux geek who fancies himself as a Java programmer (no, really). I'm moving away from Perl programming because that's the way my career is going...But I do still interact with Perl from time to time. I built data-based web sites to manage information. In 3 days, I threw together a database to track which wines I like and dislike so that I wouldn't have to remember. Website consists of 1 HTML page (the login screen,) and 5 Perl scripts. I ain't a god at the stuff, but it comes naturally enough.
