I know MTV is American. That was meant to be parsed as :
Silly Candians(Re: gravy, cheese, and fries), I heard about this (odd dietary habit) on MTV... :-D They weren't trying to teach anybody anything, they were at some musician or X-games games type person's house and he decided to make a snack.
