I have had the username Ozymandias for nine years now. In that time, people have assumed that it comes from a comic strip; from the Egyptian pharoah Ramses II; and others assume my real name must be Ozzy and I simply picked a variation on it.

A few get it correct; I selected the name from the poem "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley. The full text of the poem is at the end of the node.

I can almost always be found hanging out in #perlmonks on Slashnet; drop by and let me hit you with a trout. <G>

I may be a sysadmin by day, but by math class (at least for redmist) I'm a world-saving Space Monkey, apparently. What's a space monkey? Ask redmist. At least I get a cool spaceship shaped like an egg. neshura got a pair of pseudogloves... which are kinda cool, really, but, um... what's a pseudoglove? And how is it different from a regular glove?

Am I also a monkey? Will redmist draw in landing gear in time to land? Will the Space Monkeys defeat the dastardly J Crench before his fiendish ham radio plot succeeds? What the heck is a pseudoglove, anyway?
