A quick search found this Introduction a Perl, for instance.

Translating some tutorials here, or writing new ones, are both good ideas.

However, just posting a catalogue of existing tutorials elsewhere is likely to be just as useful, and a lot less work.

    This is related to a recent suggestion I made, to the effect that PM would benefit from a wiki-type page in which people could post links to articles, which other monks might sort into categories.
