Is it just me or is it too difficult to post stuff here on perlmonks? The only things i have figured out is how to reply and how to "make a petition" (which i am pretty sure is new monk discussion, which is what i'm doing now). anyway, I've been trying to figure out how to post to seekers of perl wisdom, but have been unsuccessful. There needs to be a node on the side saying "Post to Obfuscated Code" or "Post to new craft". The current system is just too confusing, and definatly not newbie friendly (and i don't consider myself a newbie).

So how does everyone else feel about this? And if this isn't changed, how the heck does one post to seekers of perl wisdom, and the others????

Click on Seekers of Perl Wisdom at the very top of the page, scroll to the end where there's a form for you to ask a question. (I guess I should put this in the FAQ)

    e-mail neshura

It's just you. It is not too difficult to post. (No offence, I'm not trying to hurt anybody's feelings here... but) It seems to me the biggest problem with UI design is that users do not use the cues given to them. I'd bet that if you took some time to get used to the system and all it's little quirks, you'd find that it's not as confusing as you think it is.

Maybe it's just that getting into another's way of thinking about where the "post" button ought to requires a bit of effort, like when moving into a new apartment and figuring out which switches turn on which lights. It's not that the switches are on the ceiling out of reach, they are just not in the places where you expect them to be. It's not bad, it's just different. my $.02

If you go into the category on the site where you want to post then scroll down to the bottem. There is also a link to help you figure out where your post should go if you don't know.

    Good Luck posting
