Selecting Newest Nodes

I don't know if this has ever been discussed before in the Perl Monks Discussion, but the idea suddenly popped into my head while browsing around the site. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to some people if they could select the catagories from which the Newest Nodes are shown, so if a person only wants Seekers of Perl Wisdom and Perl Monks Discussion then the Newest Nodes from only those catagories whould be displayed. They could choose the catagories in the User Settings in the same way that they select the Nodelets that are displayed. Tell me what you think?
