PerlMonks in the New Orleans area

If there are any monks in the New Orleans area (I know I should use the monk-finder, but this will catch the attention of people who aren't on it), I will be in New Orleans from July 31st through August 4th. During the day, I'll be busy with the Acacia International Fraternity Conclave, but I assume I'll have free time to hang out at night, and I'll be free Sunday afternoon.

I'll be on tour with my band, Delicious, and we just happen to be playing in New Orleans at Checkpoint Charlie's on July 31 and August 1. Drop by and check it out if you can dig some Rock 'n Roll. I believe the club is on Esplanade in the French Quarter. Maybe I'll see you there!

I live in New Orleans and would be happy to buy you lunch or dinner at one of my favorite restaurants.  As for exploring the night life, we're kind of in different age groups (I'm 40), so I might prove to be a little dull for you. However, I might be able to give you a bit of a tour all the same.  I also might be able to recruit fellow monk, cerberus who lives nearby and works with me and is about 30 years old--a little closer in age.  I'll message you with my telephone number.

Hello fellow monk, as my good friend Spenser commented earlier, I too live near the New Orleans area. Make sure you bring a camera, because you may have trouble with people believing the tales you will take back! Hopefully I will have a chance to meet you during your stay.
