I'm about to write a spell checker as part of a content-management system for a website. I looked at the Text::Ispell and Text::Pspell, and I like the looks of the former a bit more - I find the interface a bit more intuitive, and it seems to do useful things that the latter doesn't, such as parsing a whole text string rather than just spell checking a single word.
But before I start I'd be very grateful for any observations from sibling monks, particularly
- is there some other module that I haven't unearthed which would be worth looking at?
- should I worry that the last revision of Text::Ispell was almost three years ago?
- any other words of wisdom before I launch myself into the void (warning: useless use of perl hacker in void context)
