Excellent review, davorg.

I just bought (and finished reading) the mod_perl Developers Cookbook myself. I agree that sometimes the cookbook format seems forced, and seemed to lead to some decisions in the organization of material which detracted from the ease of reading the book from front to back. But it is more comprehensive than the excellent Writing Apache Modules with Perl and C and is well worth the money I spent on it.
