This below link was my first experience in perl. I really liked it and feel that it was a great start. It is missing some chapters though.
I am now reading Learning Perl 2nd edition. It is okay so far. I would recomend skipping the first chapter though. If you read it and have never done anything with perl you might have a few headaches. LeGo
