I voted for 'Magnetic Monopolls' because I figured it just had to be a mis-spelling for Magnetic Monopoles and it would be sooooo cool if Perl Monks proved their existance to the world through some clever use of one of the Quantum modules or something...

How about serious polls with funny options? And serious options of course :-)
I'm serious about this one though. It's nice to see what lurks in the minds of other monks.

I dunno .. I'd hate to be scrambling, "Gotta answer the poll, the questions gonna be pulled in the next 18 hours".
The way it works now is fine .. someone notices that the existing poll is kinda old and they scrounge around in the bit bucket for some suitable replacement. Y'know, kind of like Co-Operative Anarchy.
I guess it's kind of a Zen thing.

I've got no problem with co-operative anarchy as I usually have just plain family anarchy at work. :p
That said, I'd still like to see the polls change a bit more frequently than they seem to now. Just my opine.
There is no emoticon for what I'm feeling now.

Think about this...
Very True. We need polls to keep in check. Just like a census are polls are who WE are!

Event Notification would be pretty cool, whether by email, jabber or maybe even SMS.

How about some more polls on polls or polls on what the next poll should be. :)

fishing poles... more specifically, fly rods.
use Nineweight;
tie ($fly, Nineweight);
while (!$fish) {
cast;
if($arms == 'sore') {
rest(5);
cast;
}
}

More serious polls.
Like, how do you use Perl at work--CGI, Sys Admin, etc.
Or, which topic needs more tutorials--CGI, DBI, GUI, etc.
More serious Perl polls. :-)
