All I know about POE is that it exists :-) However I know of a daemon written in perl that uses POE: aptcached. A quick scan of its source code reveals that it uses the same method as other perl scripts to become a daemon. It may help to look at that source code. I can't verify it myself as I am having CPAN problems when trying to install POE that weren't there yesterday. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. --blm--
