enigmae has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
Greetings,
When using the MATLAB software in college for signal analysis we did FFT's on raster images using twodimensional FFT's for edge detection and finding patterns in the image. This was one of the coolest and slickest uses for FFT's on image analysis however i was disappointed not to find an FFT module that can do these on multidimensional arrays. Using MATLAB is one thing, but programming these from ground up seems like a daunting but challenging task. Before I go off and reinvent the wheel I wanted to ask if anyone has done or seen some work done in perl using FFT's with multidimensional arrays?
Thanks for your time,
Enigmae
