The check is in the mail is a lie I've gotten very used to telling in the current economic climate.

I got that lie from this one Credit Card company who scammed me.. Took me 6 months to get my money back.. "The check is in the mail, Mr. *****." 3 weeks later, "The check is still in the mail.." Yeah.. Right.
