Note: [perlfunc:unlink|unlink()] will not delete directories unless you are superuser and the <STRONG>-U</STRONG> flag is supplied to Perl. Even if these conditions are met, be warned that
unlinking a directory can inflict damage on your filesystem. Use [perlfunc:rmdir|rmdir()] instead.
