update: the information contained in this node is outdated.

Muwahahahahahahaah ;)

I will be revamping http://crazyinsomniac.perlmonk.org/perl/ppm real soon to add modules compiled for perl 5.8, so you shouldn't be needing to change anything (you do have that in there, don't you? i take requests).

I'll see about getting GD up at http://crazyinsomniac.perlmonk.org/perl/ppm/5.8/ a temporary solution for now. All that is there currently is JavaScript-SpiderMonkey, and TT2 ;) You'll have to install AppConfig yourself from elsewhere.

update: I gave up on compiling GD on win32. I don't have time to figure it out ~ If anyone can provide me with a project/makefile i'd appreciate it ( i got/compiled "zlib libpng jpeg-6b freetype" just fine, and got tired of patching/figuring-out GD)

Help Needed!
If anyone can figure out how to compile GD with all the bells and whistles (jpg/png/zlib/freetype) for the win32 platform, a make/project file (or a PPM binary) will be most appreciated.

A number of new PPM modules have been compiled for ActivePerl 5.8 by Randy Kobes at:

    http://theoryx5.uwinnipeg.ca/cgi-bin/ppmserver?urn:/PPMServer58

Included is GD, Storable, DB_File, and a number of others not found at ActiveState. What I can't find is a version of PDL!!!
