Minor tweaks made to Tutorials sectionby footpad (Abbot) |

Just wanted to let everyone know that the Tutorials have been updated; twelve new ones have been added. <Update> I sent /msg's to everyone who posted nodes that were promoted. If you've posted a Tutorial recently and didn't receive a /msg, it's either because a) the tutorial wasn't Considered for promotion or b) The node did not receive an overwhelming response to promote it. If you suspect the first situation, /msg me (or another janitor) a link to the node in question and we'll submit it for consideration. If you suspect the latter situation, you may wish to think about rewriting your original node and reposting it. </Update> Also, things have been reorganized slightly. Specifically, there were a number of miscellaneous tutorials about variables, scoping, and similar issues. I've collected these and combined them with the Functions section (which, you'll have to admit, is pretty lean at the moment). If you're used to scrolling to one part of the page to locate certain tutorials, be aware that things have shifted slightly. Finally, I added a "last updated" line so folks can quickly see whether or not new ones have appeared since their last visit. (Naturally, I hope the other janitors will maintain this as they also work on the page.) Hope this helps... --f <Update #2> Also, I fixed the link to Ovid's <plug>most excellent</plug>1 Web Programming course. 1 - And if you imagine a certain guitar riff when you read that phrase, then you've seen at least one silly film in your life. ;-)
