New Little Monk

on Jul 18, 2000 at 02:37 UTC ( [id://22917]=monkdiscuss: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Since Mom's too tired, we (everybody in #perlmonks at the time) figured we'd post the news for her; everybody welcome the first LittleMonk, Misty's son Adriel Jonathan.

Everybody applaud from where you're sitting, and do *not* ask to see the video of the birth. Congratulations, Misty!

vroom, hurry up on those t-shirts; Adriel needs to have the proper robes!

    Congratulations!

    This monastery is certainly big - all this time I've been wandering around in here, and I've never even seen the nursery. Let us know when he writes his first perl script! :)

    While Adriel is peacefully sleeping, I want to take few seconds to thank all of you for congratulations and wishes. Both of us are doing fine, though it will take more time for new Mom to recover. Until then all the studies, computers, Perl etc. are put away - at least till I get enough sleep.

    For those of you who want to see baby's pictures - I'll scan one or few of them in the next couple days.

      Oops.. I'm so tired, that forgot to log in to the new server.

    Congrats, Misty! Now get up, give that kid a Learning Perl book and put him behind a good Linux box. He's old enough!!

    The beatings will continue until morale raises.

    Congratulations!

    Here's a suggestion for a quest: the wallpaper design for the nursery.

    Zenon Zabinski | zdog | zdog7@hotmail.com

      The wallpaper should be covered with camels, of course! :)
      or perhaps perl poetry thats actually a lullaby.

    Congrats, Misty
    use Monk::Creator; $new_addition = Monk::Creator->new; $new_addition->name('Adriel Jonathan'); $new_addition->birthday('20000717');
    update: D'oh! Thanks for the correction, Ozymandias
      Correction:
      use Monk::Creator; $new_addition = Monk::Creator->new; $new_addition->name('Adriel Jonathan'); $new_addition->birthday('20000715');
      Otherwise good...
