Of course; but then you have to *do stuff*. Lots of it, as your post proves. I can't imagine why you'd want to go through all of that trouble when installing cygwin allows you to simply perl Configure.pl; make install. | [reply] [d/l] |
See Re: Re: Parrot build mechanism expertise required.. Basically, my intention was not just to play with Parrot, but hopefully to understand the process enough to allow me to attempt to contribute to it. I think that it becomes important to not just be able to use the build process, but to understand it enough that I can modify it when required to accomodate any code that I try to add to it.
I had thought that I might be able to contribute by taking on some of the Win32 build process development, but as it turns out, not only is this obviously well in-hand , but at least one of the people doing it is a member here and saw my post.
util++. Many thanks.
Examine what is said, not who speaks.
1) When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.
2) The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible
3) Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
