ActivePerl is a (the?) Perl distribution win
platforms, maintained by ActiveState (hence the
name). For Un*x platforms, the distribution doesn't
have a special name. Fetch the source or a precompiled
binary from
http://www.perl.com/. As for the modules, sure, they will work on both platforms, but you might have to compile them seperately, if the contain C source code. The Details are in the README or INSTALL you find in the module bundle. You'll find the at CPAN. Andreas
