Automatic URL linking

Dovkont has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Greetings! Sorry for yet another, possibly simple question, but yet I was unable to find the answer to it. How can I run a system of perl scripts as follows:
1. Script as HTML form, asking for some input. It runs another one, that
2. analyzes the input, runs a separate, non-web server script, and then
3. calls an interface script within the same window (and if possible the same frame) within a browser?

Thanks in advance,

    Greetings Dovkont,
The best place for you to start looking is at the very beginning - check out Ovid's Web Programming with Perl course. That will get the basics out of the way, then you can come back and get further questions answered later. It would appear you are trying to bite off more than you can chew... learn to walk, then run. ;)

Best of luck with the course.

Thanks for the link, I will definitely check it... The problem is that I am pretty limited in time, and, having the server and client both written and running, the small detail that prevents me from final write-up of the program is the way to run the script in a same browser window from another script in an automatic way...

    1. See CGI, and possibly some of the templating modules such as Template.
    2. See system, exec, and the Quote-Like Operators section of perlop (specifically qx() and ``).
    3. This step will most likely be integrated with step one, using the templating modules (or's HTML generating functions... if you're in to that sort of thing).

And, of course, I second barrd's recommendation to read Ovid's course.
