One of my coworkers had the stated goal of being a "merely
competent" hacker rather than a master hacker. Either way,
if you're interested in the language enough to always play
with the language in new and bizarre ways to achieve your
goal, then there's no shame in calling yourself "another
hacker", even if you're just "merely competent". :-)
