Perlmonks is really my only netplace and I never found something even similar. But to be honest sometime in the past I also lurked a bit in the perl channels on irc (general, win32 and toolchain ones).

There are very smart people but is more difficult to be accepted at least at first. Well this was my sensation.

StackOverflow is read-only for me: it happens that I find useful stuff there. Nothing more.

No place as perlmonks!

Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
