Some prejudices on Perl often heard over decades:
- Perl isn’t a real programming language
- Perl is just a scripting language
- Perl is an interpreted language
- Perl is slow
- Perl is too old
- Perl doesn’t really support OO
- Perl programming is considered harmful
And many more. After a while I gave it up arguing on this crap and thought by myself «Kiss my ass!» and did my job as usual. With Perl.

Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
