to quote from an unlikely source, Abigail-II; point 19 of Abigail's coding guidelines post: "Comments, POD and variable names MUST use English. English is the current Lingua Franca. " is this chauvinism too? is it chauvinistic to even discuss a lingua franca, or is it a thing that has its place where knowledge is traded? chauvinism is a charge too easily bandied about; what is desired is merely more clarity, and less noise.
