( [id://3333]=superdoc: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??
Happy birthday merlyn!

Armed with your book Learning Perl and a 12 pack of Mountain Dew I'm hoping to maintain my sanity amid the fury and bustle of 13 cousins, two pairs of uncles and aunts, grandparents, siblings, two dogs, ~10 cats, two horses, three drumsticks (weird turkeys in these parts. Never move to a place where the water company's name is MUD), 8 pies, 6 side dishes, 70 cookies and a camel in a pear tree.

Thanks for all of your contributions to the perl community, both here and elsewhere. May you continue to find joy in throwing perls before camels.

And no, I don't own 27 pairs of sweatpants.

Title:
Use:  <p> text here (a paragraph) </p>
and:  <code> code here </code>
to format your post; it's "PerlMonks-approved HTML":

  • Are you posting in the right place? Check out Where do I post X? to know for sure.
  • Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
    <code> <a> <b> <big> <blockquote> <br /> <dd> <dl> <dt> <em> <font> <h1> <h2> <h3> <h4> <h5> <h6> <hr /> <i> <li> <nbsp> <ol> <p> <small> <strike> <strong> <table> <td> <th> <tr> <tt> <u> <ul>
  • Snippets of code should be wrapped in <code> tags not <pre> tags. In fact, <pre> tags should generally be avoided. If they must be used, extreme care should be taken to ensure that their contents do not have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor intervention).
  • Want more info? How to link or How to display code and escape characters are good places to start.
