Well, I guess it had to happen at some point. Catalyst and Jifty competing for the same mindshare could only go on for so long:
Jifty is the future
Kind of sad but... maybe better this way.
"We've pounded our heads against this "web framework" thing for long enough. We've spent over a year developing the most flexible, portable and extensible web MVC framework available in perl. Turns out running under lots of different environments and offering the user a selection of models and views and total control over their controller operation just isn't all it's cracked up to be...."

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
