This is driving me nuts because I can't figure out why one simple change will not allow me to use a submit button to redirect traffic to certain websites.
Here's the code:
<html><body>
<form><select method="get" name="mainmenu"
onchange="window.open(this.options[this.selectedIndex].value,'_self')"
class="menu"> <option>Main Menu</option><option value="http://www.crai
+gslist.org">Craigslist</option><option value="http://www.amazon.com">
+Amazon</option><option value="http://www.perlmonks.org/index.pl?node=
+tutorials">Tutorials</option></select><input value="submit" type="sub
+mit" /> <select></select></form>
</body></html>
It runs fine by redirecting to websites when I change the dropdown menu. But when I change the command to onsubmit from onchange, when I hit the submit button it just goes to the main menu instead of going to the website after I hit submit. Why??

Posts may use any of the Perl Monks Approved HTML tags. Currently these include the following:
<code> <a> <b> <big>
<blockquote> <br /> <dd>
<dl> <dt> <em> <font>
<h1> <h2> <h3> <h4>
<h5> <h6> <hr /> <i>
<li> <nbsp> <ol> <p>
<small> <strike> <strong>
  <table>
<td> <th> <tr> <tt>
<u> <ul>
-
Snippets of code should be wrapped in
<code> tags not
<pre> tags. In fact, <pre>
tags should generally be avoided. If they must
be used, extreme care should be
taken to ensure that their contents do not
have long lines (<70 chars), in order to prevent
horizontal scrolling (and possible janitor
intervention).
