It isn't the first time that this thought has crossed some monks mind. Check out Who is Perl? (Anthropomorphizing Everything), and especially Re: Who is Perl? (She's a beauty!) P.S. I am the one who could leave my boyfriend for Perl. He doesn't do programming, while I switched from dolls to CPUs when I was 12. :)
