'hannibal' in my case comes not from the Carthaginian general (although I did have my main workstation named 'carthage' for quite some time), but from Hannibal Smith from the TV show The A-Team. My friends who watched the show also said I had a similar personality. Thus I started using it as a nickname online as well.
