I do not understand this stance about unworthiness. You have stuck around and written nearly 400 nodes; some of them answers, valuable in themselves, some of them questions, valuable in the discussion they stimulated. Consider, by contrast, that there are roughly 14,000 users who registered and never even posted, and many others who registered only to ask a question and never came back.

Does then perseverance and contribution not warrant at least some amount of recognition?

Makeshifts last the longest.

To be a saint on this board with minds sooo much larger than my own is cause for humbleness. The only nodes that I feel have added any value are the ones that discuss Perl integration into larger enterprises and workplace issues. When it comes to code I still (after more than 4 years) marvel at the elegance and knowlege expressed. While there may be no more 'levels' to attain, the desire to perfect my craft to the unlabled next level persists and for this I am greatful, for without this site I really wouldn't know elegance from functionality.

Even with your response, Aristotle I still feel that thrill of having been seen/read by someone I highly respect. I still love this site and can't miss a day. (Even though Python and Java are getting my professional attention of late.)

What can I say I'm a geek and you guys are my rock stars -- I'm unworthy I'm unworthy! *cackle*

Thanks Aristotle, that is helpful coming from you, one of the more revered saints.
