Instead of 'in thread' I would like to see 'in reply to'. If I want to see the whole thread, that I don't mind clicking on on the next page (there may be 50 nodes in a thread, and I don't want to get ALL the context, just what is actually being replied to).

Or, to make sure screens don't horizontally scroll due to long subjects (RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: etc...) Maybe something like:
