How did you install PAR via ppm?

    I installed PAR by downloading the source from CPAN and saving it to the appropriate directory on my laptop.

      If you are using activestate then do the following to instal PAR:

      Start->All Programs->ActiveState ActivePerl 5.x
      Run the Perl Package Manager
      type the command "Install PAR"

      That will download and install the binary package for PAR and you wil be good to go.

        ppm> Install PAR Error: No valid repositories: Error: 500 Can't connect to ppm.ActiveState.com:80 (Bad hostname 'ppm.ActiveState.com') Error: 500 Can't connect to ppm.ActiveState.com:80 (Bad hostname 'ppm.ActiveState.com')
        I'm sure that is failing because of the proxy I have to go through. Which is why I was installing the package manually in the first place.
