Exactly how well-informed do you think most voters happen to be?

Not very. Most of them have never heard of, for instance, Michael Badnarik or David Cobb. Many are not aware that John Kerry's current plan for total withdrawal from Iraq is more long-term than Bush's current plan, and that he supports renewing the USA PATRIOT Act. Many are not aware that Bush supports renewing the federal assault weapon ban.
I have a question for you: Why do you ask?

Remember, this is *perl*monks, not *politic*monks. Please leave it at the door.

I ask because the implication that uninformed voters is bad would only seem logical if you believed that most voters were well-informed to begin with.

I wonder what's the reason for the downvotes to apotheon's node. If you disagree you should speak up, not just click "vote". I definitely do agree with him.

Do you think the number of posts on perlmonks should explode, with the majority of the posts being Me too (for the up-voters speaking up) and Me not (for the down-voters speaking up)?
