in thread Fair Use When Referring to Book Answers?
Hmmm. Randal L. Schwartzy.. I've checked out your site, and with "all do respect" I am the owner (legally purchased) of one of your texts. I'm just stating that this is site is a forum of people all with a similar interest in Perl. Anything printed here in the cyberworld can be looked at in different ways. Yes it's written (typed) and could be printed out, but I feel this media is more of a form of "voice".. .. speaking out in a community way for all to hear. I'm sure when you read the paper, etc.. most say.. "i've read that..... yadda yadda yadda...".. I've never heard anyone say: "According to the written expression of Sir Published Guy of XYZ Tribune, section H, page 3 that the Jets beat the Dolphins last night, which was printed in accordance with the NFL..etc.etc." (a bit far fetched I know) I am just a lil' monk in the large programming community and this site is one of the best, and I do try not to come here w/every lil' question, but sometimes this is the best source. I asked a question (in my writeups) where to get help.. not specifics but other places of knowledge... and in reply, have listened to my fellow monks and have "respected" those published and threw down the money to pay your bills. God Bless America! -Zo
