This advent calendar has 25 windows; mine generally have 24.

On the subject of Advent Calendars, I was dismayed to find, whilst purchasing my own, that they were very hard to find this year. The biggest bookshops and card shops didn't have them. Even The Christmas Shop didn't have them. All we could find were "Chocolate Countdown Calendar"s. These would feature such festive icons as Action Man or Barbie.

What's the world coming to if you can't buy an advent calendar with an Christmas theme from The Christmas Shop.

I thought about this aspect a bit before I put it up.

Though most traditional advent calendars only have 24, most of the more modern ones have 25 (24 days of advent + a bonus on christmas day.) Oh..and it made the table layout look nicer.

6x4 not good enough for you then :)

A mate of mine, an ardent lego fan, has a Lego calendar with a set of bricks behind each door :) That beats chocolate for me anyday!

Unfortunately I can't tell you where to get an advent calender, but I used to love them! My favorites were the ones with little figurines behind each window (I don't like chocolate). Hope you find one!

It has been suggested to rename Perl 6 in order to boost its marketing potential. Which name would you prefer?
