Thanks a lot everyone! This is awesome information. I was skeptical to start this topic due to the Vi vs Emacs nature of the question. However, I couldn't help it because I couldn't understand the advantages/disadvantages if i choose one over the other :)

Now, I have a very good understanding of the issues with ASP/CGI etc. Thanks for those two links, they are really cool! I think the points made on spider etc is very good. Having the flexibility of a flow blow language will be very nice and I guess we can always switch the web-side if things don't work out right!

Best of all I know where to go if i get stuck with mod_perl :)
