I've used RH as my primary OS from 6.2 to 9.0, then I tried Debian, now Slackware rules. Slackware is just plain great as a geek desktop :)
Using something like RH 6.2 or 7.1 as a webhost is simply crazy. You're almost certain to be hacked badly someday with such ancient stuff. Sure it's still usable (after all win98 is still usable too) but what about security update? They've disappeared for years...
However upgrading perl would almost certainly be a good start.. 5.8.0 is quite brittle.

Maybe updates you pay to get from RH have, but I never used those anyway. Keep track of what software is on your machines and patch them when a security bug is found. Really it isn't that hard.
