In that case I think you want to replace sub {goto \&{$#_ ? $set : $get}}; with

sub { my $self = shift; @_ ? $self->$set(@_) : $self->$get(@_) };

or

sub { goto &{$_[0]->can($#_ ? $set : $get)} };
