in reply to How to use perl on Symbian?

not 100% hitting the target, but somewhat close

I saw Jarkko recently did some additions into p5p list WRT perl on symbian, may be you need to get latest snapshot?

Did you try recompiling, or just using binaries?

BTW I, personally, *love* using Perl on my phone-pocketpc, see perlce on sf.net :):)

... but symbian support, in my opinion, is evolving much better right now.

As for limited module support - you're right, many is impossible with that perl.
Still, quite enough to write toy dictionaries with GUI or Parse::RecDescent probes, as it was in my case ...

I'm an idiot :p I didn't install all the required files before. It' s now working :) Jarkko did a great job. I'm using the binaries, didn't compile it myself... PS: I can't use perlce :) but thanks anyway...
