You'll need access to systems running Perl other than ActiveState. You could try a CygWin environment on Windows, as well as Perl on Unix based systems.

Also, look at the perlport man page.

well, generally i see what you mean, thanx for that. but lets consider an example: http://perlmonks.org/?node_id=498789 how can i make it run on activeperl? is there a way?
