The levels are numbered, so I don't really see this as being much of a problem.

If we're all just going to talk about level numbers, then we might as well toss out titles altogether&dagger. Who cares whether you are a level 14 Monk, a level 14 Wizard, a level 14 Cyber Punk or a level 14 Cabbage Patch Kid if all that matters is the "14"?

I'll ask again, isn't this still Perl Monks?

Really... diluting the site's theme shouldn't even be considered. If it is done, we will have definitely jumped the shark.

† Through most of my climb through the ranks here I never even knew what level number I was; I just knew the title.
