Faster startup time is good but isn't really important; what *is* important in Tcl::Tk (as opposed to perl/Tk) is ability to use tcl widgets without any preparation or adaptation. Also, see longer list at http://vkonovalov.ru/cgi-bin/perl-tcltk-wiki.cgi/19
