Approval Nodelet Bug

by sauoq (Abbot)
on Nov 12, 2005 at 20:08 UTC ( #508008=monkdiscuss: print w/replies, xml ) Need Help??

Corion considered 508006 for deletion as a duplicate of 508001. Using the Approval Nodelet, I checked "reap" and clicked the moderate button... and nothing happened. After trying once more, I checked "edit" instead and clicked the moderate button. That appeared to register my vote on the consideration.

When did "delete" change to "reap" and could this bug have been introduced at that time?

There already is a patch for fixing this problem, but so far it hasn't been reviewed or applied. I think the problem stems from the ugly non-separation of presentation and value in HTML forms, where the radio button has the same value and representation.
