Remember that nobody asked them to volunteer, thus nobody here has the need to say thank you. Sorry, it is straight, but true.

As a perl user, I don't give a fuck whether they are volunteer. If they cannot afford to volunteer it right, then just fuck off.

Don't beg for mercy.

True, Java is also free, but there is a whole company behind it to make it right.

Let's don't use the old "volunteer" concept to cheat ordinary computer users. We don't care whether it is voluteer, we care whether it is free, and perl is no longer unique.

If everyone fucked off because they couldn’t afford to volunteer right – how do you volunteer right, and who makes the rules? –, nothing would ever get done.

You have no obligation to say thanks, nor any right to complain.

Don’t beg not to be begged for mercy.

    Makeshifts last the longest.

      "nothing would ever get done."

What is the definition of nothing. Obviously something will be done by our great US companies with our US $. Many India software engineers want our money, and they are just a little bit expansive than volunteers, but much more professional than those people.

And those people don't beg, as they are from the same nation where Gandhi from. That is a nation of dignit and is ready to defeat any shameless invaliders.

India? People from all over the world conribute to perl, even india.

Remember that nobody asked them to volunteer, thus nobody here has the need to say thank you.

Hundreds of people donated countless hours of time and energy over 18 years (so far) to produce something that's free to use and modify and extend, and you don't feel any sense of gratitude because no one asked them to do it?

I find your sense of priority and entitlement baffling and bewildering, but you can use software I helped to write anyway.
