Vim has:
  • Bracket matching (user-definable, even)
  • Folding
  • Suggest and Complete
  • Multi-document
  • Split view
  • Doc and Help viewer
  • All the other languages
  • Is on every platform known to the Gods and Man (and then some)

Granted, I don't use any of those features (other than multi-buffer), but that's just me.


My criteria for good software:
  1. Does it work?
  2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?
