My first thought would be to install ActiveState's Perl. If nothing else, it's a single step to install it, instead of getting Cygwin's setup executable, then installing its version of Perl. I also suspect that the ActiveState port has a better selection of default modules for dealing the Windows than does the Cygwin port. emc "Being forced to write comments actually improves code, because it is easier to fix a crock than to explain it.
