My appology. The formulation of the puzzle I am familiar with (as a brain teaser) is that you can flip the timers, but not stop them. I also suspect that the result is the same at the end of the (possibly long) day, but I'm not mathematician enough to prove it. DWIM is Perl's answer to Gödel
